Celebrate sustainability and all things green

The City of Stonnington is proudly presenting the annual Spring into Gardening at Victoria Gardens, Prahran on Sunday 14 October.

Entry is FREE and all are welcome to attend this vibrant family-friendly event.

Spring into Gardening celebrates sustainability and all things green and is complemented with food trucks, bustling market stalls and great live music!

The event kicks off at 11am and features a jam-packed program of free workshops, hands-on kids' activities, a clothes swap and much more!

Highlights include:

  • Costa Georgiadis (Gardening Australia) will explore everyday changes towards sustainable living.

  • Author Fabian Capomolla (The Hungry Gardener), will chat about how to make limoncello from home-grown lemons.

  • Permaculture co-originator David Holmgren, will discuss his book RetroSuburbia and offer advice and guidance on how to retrofit your household for sustainability and an energy resilient future.

  • For those with limited outdoor space, Duncan Cocking from Leaf Root and Fruit, will share valuable hints and tips on growing your own vegetables in containers and small space gardens.

  • Nutritionist Lola Berry will discuss pillars of health and wellness so that your home, body and garden will be refreshed and ready for spring.

    It is sure to be a fun-filled day out in Prahran's lush Victoria Gardens. Come along and get inspiration and tips on sustainable living and how to prepare your garden for summer.

    Victoria Gardens is located on High Street, Prahran.

    Please note this is a plastic-free event, so bring your re-useable bags and coffee cups.
