Whitehorse City Council proudly presents its annual Spring Festival community celebration on Sunday 15 October 2023 from 10 am to 4 pm.


Held at Whitehorse Civic Centre Precinct, Nunawading, entry is FREE and all are welcome to come along and join in the vibrant festivities!


The theme for this year's event is "Let's Play" and brings together a jam-packed program of family-friendly events and activities to celebrate the community coming together and having fun through play.



Look forward to 80+ stalls showcasing all that the wonderful community has to offer. Enjoy a mix of live music and dancing with 30+ local artists and community groups performing across multiple stages. Don't miss out on exciting rides, face painting, activities, and a selection of delicious food and treats.



This year's jam-packed program promises something for everyone!

Explore around the updated Whitehorse Civic Centre Precinct and discover exciting activities:
  • Community Stalls: Explore over 80 stalls offering a treasure trove of information, showcasing the vibrant spirit of our community.
  • Community Performances: Be dazzled by the incredible talent within our community, with a variety of performances to keep you entertained throughout the day.
  • Butterfly House: Step into a world of fluttering beauty and marvel at the grace of these delicate creatures.
  • Thndo: Experience the captivating music and performance artistry of former The Voice finalist Thndo.
  • Face Painting: Transform into your favourite characters, and creatures, or let your imagination run wild with our free face painting.
  • Dreaming Space Circus: Prepare to be amazed by the breathtaking acts and acrobatics of Dreaming Space Circus.
  • Junkyard Beats Musical Garden: Witness how ordinary items transform into extraordinary instruments and create your own rhythms on these recycled treasures.
  • Amusement Rides: Discover a world of entertainment with our fantastic selection of FREE rides at Spring Festival, perfect for families and friends of all ages.
  • The Curious Game: Embark on an adventure and unravel the mysteries of The Curious Game.
  • Reptile Encounters: Get up close and personal with fascinating reptiles.
  • Youth Area: Tailored activities and entertainment for young adults, ensuring smiles and laughter all day long.

  • Hidden Creatures Gallery: Embark on a journey of discovery using AR technology, as you encounter creatures you never knew existed.
  • Sea of Light: Immerse yourself in a world of light and creativity. With a UV torch, shape your illuminated adventure in the captivating Sea of Light.
  • The Round Tours: An exclusive opportunity to explore the contemporary beauty of The Round. These guided tours will unveil the theatre's captivating design and modern features.
  • Board Game Café: Challenge your friends and family to a board game in The Round's Café.
  • Arts and Crafts: Unleash your creativity with the Creative Whitehorse team! The function room upstairs is our Creative Hub where you can create your own masterpieces.
