Tis the season! Well, almost... but now that you are thinking ahead, there are a number of fairs, markets and fetes popping up this time of year and while some are simply a good day out, others may be your one stop shopping destination in the lead up to that hard to find Christmas present. Coming up soon in the Eastern suburbs is a plethora of community and school fairs and markets. They are all open to the general public and entry is free!

The Magill Sunrise Market takes place on the second Sunday of each month at the Campbelltown Library Car Park from 8am-noon.It is run by the Rotary and offers a variety of art, craft and produce stalls. A beautiful way to spend a Sunday morning!

The Heccies 50th Anniversary Family Fun Day is being held from 11-6 on Oct 12. There will be activities, food and market stalls, live bands, a sports memorabilia auction and more! You can even pre-purchase wristbands for unlimited rides between 11- 4 for $25.pp.

Magill School is hosting their Spring Fair on October 18 from 12-8 PM and they will have market stalls selling everything from second hand clothes to homemade lemon curd, food trucks, rides and entertainment for the little ones, live music and art. The historic school bell which was found when the school was undergoing renovations has been lovingly restored and will be unveiled in a ceremony early in the day.
One stall worth looking out for is an "all things handmade" by Norwood Morialta High School students working at funding their upcoming World Challenge expedition to Vietnam and Cambodia. While you are there, you can re-visit SALA and check out the spectacular street art installation on the school grounds by artist Luke Turner and the various vibrant yarn installations by the Magill Yarn Bombers!

On Saturday, October 25, Pembroke School is celebrating 40 years with their Spring Fair at the Haslam Oval from 12-9 PM. On offer will be a variety of stalls and activities including an art exhibition encompassing the past 40 years, a silent auction, musical performances and fireworks.

Moving into November, the Rostrevor College Spring Fair is taking place November 1 from 12-8:30 and will feature rides, country produce, an array of food stalls and live music. You can even design and download a wine label and buy wine with your personalized labels on the day.

All this to say that if you are looking for somewhere to take the children or interested in finding unique presents, these fairs are worth checking out! There is a lot of love and effort put into the events and stalls and supporting the children in your community feels so good!
See you there!
