RBG
Explore the Royal Botanic Gardens this Spring.

Have you been staring out of the window, longing to get into the great outdoors? If your answer is 'yes' but you're confined to the city, head to the Royal Botanic Gardens for a Spring Discovery Walk. On the walk you'll have the opportunity to learn about the diverse flora collections in the gardens with your experienced guides. You'll also be able to ask questions about the gardens and the different flora and fauna species.

Be amazed by the stunning flowers of Spring.

Walks occur every day of the week in Spring apart from Monday. The only exception is Melbourne Cup Day (Tuesday the 6th of November). They take an hour and a half and are scheduled twice daily at 11am and 2pm. Walkers are asked to meet at the Visitor Centre, Observatory Gate at the starting time. Bookings are not required. For more information telephone (03) 9252 2429.

After the walk you can enjoy a coffee or a bite to eat at The Terrace or the Observatory Cafe.

This is great to know - I wonder whether the kids could endure it? Thanks!

The walks are definitely aimed more at adults but there are a number of activities on for children at the gardens. The Ian Potter Children's Garden is wonderful and they have activities for kids which can be found herehttp://www.rbg.vic.gov.au/rbg-melbourne/whats-on
Have fun if you decide to go!
