The spring cleaning can wait; instead gather your friends and family for all the wonderful events happening this season.

Spring time in South Australia means Show time. It starts with the animals and attractions of the 157th Gawler Show on Saturday, August 31 and Sunday, September 1, 2013. Read more about the Gawler Show and don't forget to spoil dad on Father's Day .

The Royal Adelaide Show is great day out for the whole family. It's on Friday, September 6 until Saturday, September 14, 2013. Find out more about the Royal Adelaide Show and the other interesting events happening at the Adelaide Showground this spring.

It's a great time to visit the Flinders Ranges. A Brush with Art is a display of art work inspired by the spectacular South Australian outback. Exhibitions take place from Saturday, September 7 to Monday, October 7, 2013.



Celebrate Asian culture in Australia with food, film, literature, lanterns, music and more. The OzAsia Festival is on Friday, September 13 until Sunday, September 29, 2013 at various locations in the city. Read more about the OzAsia Festival .

Lace up your runners and join Adelaide's favourite fun run, the Sunday Mail City to Bay on Sunday, September 15. Or check out the classic cars in the Bay to Birdwood on Sunday, September 29, 2013 as they cruise from Adelaide Shores to the National Motor Museum.

Head to the Semaphore Music Festival for the Labour Day long weekend. Ben Searcy, Slingshot Dragster, The Villenettes and many more will be performing from Friday, October 4 to Monday, October 7, 2013.

Or bask in the beautiful scenery and enjoy local food, wine and art at the Kangaroo Island Art Feast from Friday, October 4 until Sunday, October 13, 2013. Children can travel to KI for free on SeaLink during spring, find out more about Kids Go Free .



If you like oysters, then you'll love the Ceduna Oysterfest on Saturday, October 5 and Sunday, October 6, 2013. As well as seafood, there will be entertainment and activities to amuse everyone.

The Adelaide Film Festival is on Thursday, October 10 until Sunday, October 20 and coincides with the Adelaide Festival of Ideas from Thursday, October 17 to Sunday, October 20, 2013 in an extravaganza of film, forums and creativity.

The annual Coonawarra Cabernet Celebrations happens on Friday, October 18 until Sunday, October 20, 2013. There will be over 40 events including winery tours and tastings that showcase the region's specialty, the Cabernet Sauvignon.



Take some time out at Aquador Retreat in Oakbank. There is a Soul Healing Retreat from Friday, October 18 to Sunday, October 20; Yoga Retreat from Friday, November 8 to Sunday, November 10 and Detox Retreat from Thursday, November 14 to Monday, November 18, 2013. Read more about Aquador Retreat .

The Fleurieu Art Prize is the world's richest landscape painting prize. To celebrate there is a month long festival of art, culture, food and wine happening in McLaren Vale and beyond from Sunday, October 27 to Monday, November 25, 2013.

There are over 60 acts performing at the Fleurieu Folk Festival at the Willunga Recreation Park. It's a lot of fun for everyone with music, dance, bush poetry and market stalls on Friday, October 25 until Sunday, October 27, 2013.



Garden lovers will enjoy the displays and demonstrations at the Renmark Rose Festival from Friday, October 18 to Sunday, October 27. There is also the Riverland Wine and Food Festival on Saturday, October 19, 2013 to flaunt the delicious local produce.

Meanwhile, South Australia's fashion industry will be on parade at the Adelaide Fashion Festival from Friday, October 18 until Saturday October 26, 2013.

Cheese lovers won't want to miss the CheeseFest on Saturday, October 26 and Sunday, October 27, 2013 in Rymill Park. It's Australia's cheesiest festival with tastings, cooking demonstrations, classes, games and competitions.



Snooks La Vie, John Earl Walker, Mojo Webb and Fiona Boyes are performing at the Barossa Blues Festival on Friday, November 8 until Sunday, November 10, 2013. There will also be winery tours and tastings, music and art workshops, a craft market and children's entertainment.

The Feast Festival celebrates gay and lesbian arts and culture with a program full of theatre, film, forums, literature, visual arts, sporting and community events from Saturday, November 9 to Sunday, November 24, 2013.

The Clare Valley Film Festival aims to inform and inspire filmmakers with a masterclass, seminar and the latest Australian and international independent films on Friday, November 15 and Saturday, November 16, 2013. The Gorgeous Festival is an annual music, food and wine festival at Serafino Winery in gorgeous McLaren Vale on Friday, November 22 and Saturday, November 23, 2013. The line up this year includes John Butler Trio, Eskimo Joe, Laura Hill and The Audreys. Tickets are available now.
