Running daily from now until December 18th, the can't-miss 'Spring Babies' experience has something for animal lovers of all ages:

Baby Burrow - Take a tour of the Australian Wildlife Health Centre to learn about hand raised babies and see how the special team who care for them around the clock prepare and feed the little ones in the centre's 'baby kitchen'.

Future Vets - Dress up as vets and learn how to be a baby carer. Feel free to bring your own animal toy for a hospital check-up and receive a Good Health Certificate.

Baby Talks - A chance to meet wildlife babies while expert staff and wildlife carers explain what it's like caring for injured and orphaned animals.

Wallaby Wednesdays - Dress up as a wallaby with face painting, ears and tails to enjoy pouch races, wallaby trails and more. This activity will run every Wednesday from 7 October - 16 December, from 11:00am - 11:30am.

Home Tree Making - Wrap, knit, or crochet hearts, leaves, and cocoons to help Healesville's resident artist create a yarn made Home Tree.

Magic Moments - For an extra $12 spend an extra special 10 minutes with getting close up to your favourite Australian animal. You'll have the chance to pat and feed emus, echidnas, koalas, kangaroos, dingoes and even pythons along with a picture to prove it! Magic Moment encounters can be booked for individuals, couples or families with group sizes limited to 10. Book a Magic Moment by phone on 1300 966 784 or on the day of your visit. Children under 14 must be supervised by a paying adult.

Healesville Sanctuary is open every day of the year, 9am - 5pm with last entry at 3:30pm.

Kids 4-15 years and under are free all weekends and Victorian public/school holidays. See admission info below or on their website.

Pusher hire will set you back $55, wheelchair hire costs $22 and both prices include refundable deposits.

Most areas are wheelchair accessible, however some restrictions regarding assistance animals can apply, click here for full details.

Healesville is a not-for-profit conservation organisation that relies on visitors and donations from supporters to aid in its fight against wildlife extinction. So if you can spare it, a donation can go a long way towards research, breeding and recovery programs and world-class animal care.
