Located at 2 Booker street, Scienceworks is a must-visit for students, who are given free general admission save for certain exhibits and shows that you may have to pay a couple of dollars for. A trip to Scienceworks may best be enjoyed with a group of friends so you may get one of them to help you with some of the funky trials in the exhibit.

With the 2012 Olympics coming up, however, it seems like a good idea to test your fitness at the 'Sport' section of Scienceworks, which is free if you are a student. Start out by creating a profile of yourself; leaflets to help you with the details are available for you as well as pencils/pens to write your details with. You can check your weight, height and hand span and record the findings on your leaflet.

There are various tests you can try such as flexibility, hand-eye coordination, how high you can jump, and balance - just to name a few. All the results can be recorded on the leaflet once again and you can see where you lie in the fitness range by matching your score to the range it falls in. This part of Scienceworks can be enjoyed by adults and children.

One fascinating feature of this section is the chance to 'race' Kathy Freeman per se. It allows visitors to virtually race with the sports star and see how they fare against her. The track isn't very long so make sure you have that boost of energy from the very start.
