I'm a breakfast kinda girl, there's no denying. I'm a sucker for a great coffee, a comfy chair and delicious breakfast goodness. You will regularly find me out and about on weekend mornings going ga-ga over food options, and I'm not ashamed of it.
[ADVERT]Breakfast completes me and makes me whole. It is my happiness in the morning, on weekends and who can resist eating breakfast for dinner? Wait.. I might be amongst a small group of individuals on that one, but that's okay.
Enough about that and let's get onto this new place I've discovered that I think you should visit,
Spoonbill.
I think we've already established that I live near Chapel Street, so it wasn't long before I found this little gem hidden underneath The Olsen. I'm glad I did find it though, because it's so comfy/chic that I have placed it on my 'cozy breakfast hot spot' list. I think you should do the same.
I know some of you might be thinking that because it's a hotel venue it's probably going to be a bit... dare I say, hotel'ish/boring and I can completely get your concern. Nothing worse than walking into an establishment for a good ol' breaky and feeling like you're part of the corporate chain waiting in line at the breakfast buffet (am I right or am I right?)
This place is nothing like that. It feels cosy, relaxing, clean, comforting and friendly. Yes, it is part of the hotel establishment but it doesn't look or feel 'hotel', which to me is a big win.
The breakfast menu is simple but ticks all the boxes:

I was in the mood for eggs and so was my partner, so we both chose different dishes for extra review and picture effect. Queue the photos:

My breakfast was: poached eggs, grilled tomato and sourdough. Delicious!

Gwen's breakfast was: scrambled egg whites, spinach and sourdough. Amaze!
Did I mention the coffee is also really good?

So. Good
So, what are you doing right now? Put this little gem into your calendar and go smash some breakfast.
