From ghoulies and ghosties, and long-leggedy beasties, and things that go bump in the night…. we all enjoy a good scary story from time to time, and Coromandel Community Centre's event will fit the bill. This fun and friendly intergenerational event on Friday, 30 October is sure to send an enjoyable shiver down your spine.

Local children's author and manager of Shakespeare's bookshop Blackwood, Mike Lucas will be gathering everyone round the 'campfire' to tell some spooky stories and recite some creepy poems.

The author who brought us the book 'Tales from an alien's toe' will transfix everyone with his tales of ghostly goings-on and spooky surprises – whatever the tale, all are suitable for children and you're sure to be eerily entertained.

You might like to share your spooky story too!

Starting at not quite the witching hour, 11am, the telling of the terrifying tales will take a break for people to calm their nerves over some 'blood and guts' soup (more commonly known as Minestrone) – despite its name, this is suitable for vegetarians and is gluten free.

This event is free, but please book your place to help with catering numbers.

This event is supported by City of Onkaparinga, Shakespeare's bookshop and Craigburn Primary School, together with grants from Every Generation and Children's Week Encouragement.
