Melbourne’s biggest and spookiest Halloween festival returns

Tame by day and terrifying at night, Melbourne's most exciting, fully immersive haunt experience is back this Halloween and it's bigger than ever with two NEW haunted house experiences -The Coven and Phobia plus an exciting escape room experience - Escape the Swamp.

Taking place on the grounds of St Kilda Town Hall over five terrifyingly fun-filled days (31 October to 4 November 2018), the 6th annual Spooktober Halloween Festival is set to be Melbourne's best family event this Halloween with Melbourne's Ultimate Trick or Treat Trail, cackle-worthy carnival games and activities, delicious food and drinks courtesy of the Spooktober Halloween Festival Food Truck Village and Haunted Spirits Pop-Up Bar and 2 haunted house experiences to choose from.

The Little Zombies Trick or Treat Trail, set around the Town Hall grounds, is ideal for ages 5 and up. Once again, this year's event is sponsored by WIZZ FIZZ and there will be several Trick or Treat stations stocked with WIZZ FIZZ confectionary which is complimentary for all children on the grounds. BYO your Trick or Treat bag, or donate a gold coin to grab a bag at the festival and know you're helping to raise funds for the St Kilda Mums charity.

And if you dare – enter the freakiest haunted house experiences Melbourne has on offer. Each terrifying attraction has live actors, special effects and life-like props that are sure to have your heart racing!

  • The Coven - Our resident witches are cooking up some potions - beware you're not the missing ingredient!

  • Phobia - What's your fear? An abandoned factory filled with all your worst fears!

You can choose from 2 scare levels:

Scary Tour - Recommended for 6 years and up who dare to be scared and enjoy Halloween fun. Not recommended for children who frighten easily.

After Dark Tour - Recommended for 12 years and up, who seek extreme screams. Only for the brave! If you like nightmares – this tour is for you.

Escape the Swamp is an escape room like no other. ‍Enter the swamp graveyard and solve the cryptic puzzles and escape before the clock runs out or risk the wrath of the swamp creature! This thrilling attraction is suitable for groups of 4 to 6 people.

You can also enjoy Halloween inspired games and activities. Dress up in your scariest Halloween costume to enter Count Carlisle's Creepy Costume competition sponsored by Lombard, or to blend in with the other creatures of the night lurking around. Refuel your fear at the Spooktober Halloween Festival Food Truck Village, or calm your nerves at the adults only Haunted Spirits Pop-Up Halloween Bar.

Halloween dress-up is highly encouraged as the spooktacular Count Carlisle will be handing out prizes to the most scarily dressed Trick or Treaters.

Entry to the grounds and Trick or Treat Trail is FREE, while tickets need be purchased for The Spooktober Haunted House tour experiences including The Coven and Phobia.

Spooktober Halloween Festival is expected to be a popular attraction this Halloween and guests are encouraged to pre-purchase their tickets. Simply head to the official website and select your desired tour to make a booking. Prices start from $22.00.
