Making a Splash
Kew Primary School, the oldest school in Kew (established in 1870), is holding its inaugural art show - Splash Art - from Friday 17th - Sunday 19th October 2014. The exhibition emphasises good quality, affordable contemporary art by some of Melbourne's most exciting, emerging and established artists. Proceeds from sales also make a contribution to the ongoing arts and cultural program available to students at Kew Primary School.

As well as beautiful artworks, Splash Art promises three days of fun for the whole family. There will be art and craft activities for the children to participate in, workshops delivered by artists, performances by musicians, clowns, and magicians, with the headline act being the Squid Stamp theatre group.

Splash Art kicks off with a gala opening followed by two days of gallery viewing and sales, food, entertainment, family art activities and more. Pop these key date in your diary:
Come along to the grand opening! Champagne bar, canapes, live entertainment and first option to purchase the artworks on display. Your ticket includes a complimentary drink on arrival, canapés, Splash Art catalogue and live entertainment. Gala night tickets can be purchased online and are $35 each.

Members of the public can browse and purchase more than 600 original artworks from 170 international and Australian exhibiting artists.
Sunday 19th October 2014 Exhibition and Sales 10am - 4pm Family Fun Day 10am - 4pm
Splash out at the Family Fun Day and enjoy a full day of art activities, workshops, music and performances. Activities have been designed for primary school children and change throughout the day. Tickets cost $16 per child. Buy tickets here.
