Introducing a new and exciting creative dance workshop for children age 6 - 14 in the winter school holiday break; Spirit Dance.

Dance teacher, Renee, invites your children to share their emotions and to learn to express their feelings through dance & rhythmic body movement in this exclusive Winter Spirit Dance workshop in Beaumaris.



Over the course of the two hours, there will be exciting games and group activities and a chance to be mindful with meditation and reflective drawing.



Renee is a teacher who has been dancing and co-facilitating events with a group called 5Rhythms for around 10 years. Her study of Creative Dance has taken her around the world, participating in international workshops and assisting in dance therapy programs.

Her studies into mental health and philosophy has driven her passion for a better well-being, placing the focus on the healthy mind and healthy body. Renee offers dance sessions from a yoga studio in Brunswick and now brings her wealth of experience to Beaumaris, to offer a creative dance, mindfulness and emotional expression to a younger audience. "Children deserve to be taught from an early age that emotions are something everyone experiences and that all emotions are healthy and normal. Dance is a beautiful, fun, healthy and safe way to learn this" says Renee.

The Spirit Dance Winter School Holiday Workshop will take place in the Multipurpose Room at Beaumaris Library, running from 9:30am till 11:30am on Monday 10 July, priced at $30 per child.
