After the success of the first expressive dance workshop for kids over the winter school holidays , the Spirit Dance team are back with a second dance workshop for children this September.

Aimed at children aged 5 to 12 years, the Spirit Dance Spring School Holiday Workshop allows children to tap into their emotions and feelings through dance and rhythmic body movement.



Spirit Dance workshops are run by Renee, a teacher who has been dancing and co-facilitating events with a group called 5Rhythms for around 10 years.

Her study of Creative Dance has taken her around the world, participating in international workshops and assisting in dance therapy programs.

Her studies into mental health and philosophy have driven her passion for a better well-being, placing the focus on the healthy mind and healthy body. Renee offers dance sessions from a yoga studio in Brunswick and has recently introduced her wealth of experience to Beaumaris, to offer a creative dance, mindfulness and emotional expression to a younger audience.



Focusing on mindfulness and meditation with reflective drawing, children are invited to join this September's Spirit Dance Spring School Holiday Workshop and enjoy exciting games coupled with creative dance over the course of two hours.

The Spirit Dance Winter School Holiday Workshop will take place in the Multipurpose Room at Beaumaris Library, running from 1pm till 3pm on Friday 29 September, priced at $25 per child.
