Save the date! The Pascoe Vale Spinners and Weavers Exhibition and Sale is set to return on the weekend of Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 June 2022. Entry is FREE and all are welcome to come along and enjoy the exciting showcase of exhibits, demonstrations and handmade items available for sale.
After postponing their annual exhibition in 2020 and 2021, the Pascoe Vale Spinners and Weavers are keen to share their beautiful handspun work with the public once again. The group uses traditional techniques, making use of natural fibres to create handspun yarn which is dyed, woven, felted, knitted and crocheted into unique exhibition pieces to be viewed and cosy objects for sale.
This year's exhibition includes members' personal projects which were completed in the last few years, along with projects completed as a group.
There will also be a vibrant display of felted and handspun flowers and plants and embroidery work made with naturally dyed and handspun yarn.
Popular items for sale will include warm beanies, scarves, rugs, cushions, children's and babies' wear, and for other crafters, handspun skeins of yarn.
You are sure to be inspired by the demonstrations of spinning and weaving throughout the day, along with fibre preparation and other displays specific to hand spinning.
The exhibition is FREE to view and open to people of all ages. It will be held at Pascoe Vale Neighbourhood Facility, 7 Prospect St, Pascoe Vale, Melbourne.
Trading times are as follows:
Saturday 4 June 2022, 10:00am-4:00pm
