You must have eaten a regular chapatti but this is a healthier version of the chapatti.The spinach puree in it makes it a healthy option to a regular chapatti for the whole family and especially for kids.It's like giving them their greens in disguise.
Method 3 cups wheat flour 1 cup spinach puree(silver beet most preferable) some salt 2 tablespoon olive oil(or any vegetable oil) water if required
some flour for rolling a piece of cotton cloth for cooking
Mix all the ingredients and knead into a soft dough.If the spinach puree is not enough you can add some water.
Now take a small piece of the dough and roll into a ball shape with your palms.With the help of some flour roll out on a flat surface with a rolling pin into a circle of with a thickness of about 1/2 cm.
Cook on a non-stick pan on high heat with the help of a cloth on both sides till brown spots appear.They are now ready to eat hot or cold as you like them.
Tip-Refrigerate the chapatti after they cool down if you have leftovers.
