The show may be ending but the melody mayhem lingers on. Spicks and Speck-tacular - the Finale, a stage show based on the much-loved ABC series Spicks and Specks, will be doing the rounds from November to January. In a burst of cheesy sentimentality Adam, Myf and Alan are taking the opportunity to say goodbye to fans of the show, whose final episode goes to air on 23 November. Tickets for the tour go on sale on Monday 8 August.

Spicks and Specks is an Australian television phenomenon, lasting seven years and 277 episodes of musical fun, friends and facts. The show's high-energy brand of musical quiz show chaos is presided over by host, comedian Adam Hills with regular team captains (and walking music encyclopaedias) Myf Warhurst and Alan Brough along for the ride.

Special guests from the worlds of music and comedy complete the team line-ups each week and have included Hamish Blake, Tim Minchin, James Morrison, Ella Hooper, Frank Woodley, Renee Geyer and Dave O'Neil.

Fans of the show will be familiar with hilarious regular segments like Substitute where a panellist sings a well-known tune, but with words from an unrelated text such as the "2004 Australian Government Tax Pack". In the game Cover Versions teams have to guess a song title or album cover based on drawings produced by a panellist. Another favourite is Malvern Stars on 45, where guests power a record player through the speed of their bike pedalling and teams have to guess the songs being played.

Sadly it's now all coming to an end but the team have promised to go out with a bang with a show full of memories, music and the unexpected. Tickets go on sale nationally through Ticketek at 9 am on Monday 8 August. They're sure to sell like hotcakes, or maybe platinum records.

Because the roots of Australian rock go deep at Sydney's Hordern Pavilion the team have decided to kick off the tour there on Tuesday 15 November. It will wind up in Melbourne, the show's spiritual home, on Friday 13 January 2012. Full details of dates and venues are set out below:
