Enjoy a scrumptious meal at this family friendly joint
I must admit I am not a big fan of buffets myself, reasons being that they are usually overpriced and the quality of food isn't great. Well, Spice of India certainly proved me wrong.

We arrived at Spice of India at 6.30pm for their buffet. I must say we were quite impressed with the range of food available. There were curries - butter chicken, vegetable korma, beef madras, fish masala; accompaniments - garlic and plain naans, papadums, basmati rice; and starters - chicken pakora, fish pakora, chicken wings, Indian salad, onion bhaaji. Plus there were raita, mint sauce, pakora sauce, mango chutney and mixed pickle too. So there were definitely plenty there to satisfy our appetite. And if you felt like it, there were fruit and dessert to finish your Indian feast.

Excited, my husband and I loaded up our plates and headed back to the table. We both discovered that everything was tasty, fresh and hot. The curries were flavoursome; naans were crispy and garlicky; and their entrees were amazing. I also loved the raita, mint sauce and pakora sauce.

At just $18.95 per person, this buffet is an absolute bargain. In the past, my husband and I have found it difficult to pick which curries, entrees and accompaniments we wanted without spending too much. Spice of India is the perfect compromise.

The fit out of the restaurant is quite basic. The white walls are decorated with a couple of framed pictures and the feature wall adds a bit of colour to the restaurant. The dim lighting and flameless candles add an intimate atmosphere making this restaurant a great place for a casual date or family dinner.

The service was great. Trays from the buffet were constantly being filled up to ensure everything was as fresh as it can be.

If you want the variety, the quantity and the quality, then give the Spice of India buffet a go.
