Doing a speed session is a key element to improving your running but doing it own your own requires a level of self-discipline that few of us have.
That's where someone coordinating and driving the session is a god send. The Trainer puts their own training aside and focuses on performance of other runners.
Dale Thomson is a real inspiration, rather than walking away from the sport she loves now she can't run, she has turned her energy into coordinating a speed session every Saturday morning at 6.30 a.m. at Deburgh's Bridge end of Lane Cove National Park.
On purely a volunteer basis she pushes our group through our paces each week in a hour session that is showing results with everyone build strength and improving speed.
