Event: -
Get yourself under the Big Top to experience great music
In 201,5 Spectrum Now Festival presented more than 200 exhibitions, gigs and events over 19 days during March and was a centrepiece festival that featured pop-up bars, delicious food stalls, sculptures, plenty of interactive installations, galleries and of course lots of live music. This festival attracted over 100,000 festival attendees who were blown away.

Thanks to the Sydney Morning Hearld and the ANZ the 2016 Spectrum Now Festival will be back bigger and better than last year with a Festival within a Festival called Spectrum Now Festival at the Domain. From the 3rd until 13th March 2016, you will be able to experience the creativity that the festival brings through the mixture of art, music, stage and talks.

All of this would not be possible without some of the world's best creative minds to assist to develop and create the program for 2016. These Creative Ambassadors, each passionate and respected leader in their fields have put their talents in overseeing the art, music, stage and talks categories of this festival.

They are the ARIA award-winning musician and songwriter Megan Washington (MUSIC), renowned Australian artist and dual-Archibald Prize winner Del Kathryn Barton (ART), one of Australia's most popular and versatile entertainers David Campbell (STAGE) and television presenter and comedian Charlie Pickering (TALKS).

2016 sees the introduction of a new ticketed music Big Top venue where there will be a huge assortment of music that is sure to cater for just about everyone's needs in music and all of this will take place under a massive circus tent that will have a capacity of around 2,500.

These headlining ticketed events with their mind blowing entertainment will come from overseas and local talent and they will be introduced by ringmasters Paul Piticco and Jessica Ducrou, the promoters of the iconic Splendour in the Grass and Falls Music & Arts Festival.

Some of the artists appearing at a variety of venues will be the Hot Dub Time Machine, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Seekae, U.S. Girls (USA), Alvvays (CAN), Jonathan Boulet, Calexico, Augie March, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, the entire music trivia spectacle that is RocKwiz Live, Romeo & Juliet, La Boheme, The Pearlfishers and Missy Higgins.

BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE!

As you will see, not all of the selection that I have put up will be performing at the Domain. That is because there is so much to see and do at Spectrum Now 2016. It will be up to you to choose from books, comedy, dance, design, family, food, free, lifestyle, movies, music, talks, theatre, visual art and the domain.

Click here for the full program and start searching.

As well as immersive light installations, sensory experiences and culinary delights, Holler & Haul will be adding to this family-friendly carnival of fun with a 20-strong troupe of burlesque performers, showgirls, contortionists, fire-throwers and snake charmers.

The amusement doesn't stop there, as a pop-up tattoo parlour will be home to renowned tattooist Les Rice of LDF Tattoo, whilst barber Tony Vacher of Sterling Hairdressing Parlour & Barber Shop in Surry Hills will be on hand to provide a sneaky snip and shave.

If you are thinking of attending the Spectrum Now Festival that has so much to choose from I would suspect the unsuspected, as anything could pop up.
