The captain provides a fount of knowledge on the crocodiles' habitat, distinguishing the difference between freshwater and saltwater. He is in no doubt they are very intelligent animals. After the crocs have been fed, there's a display up high as the Wedge-Tailed Eagle and Kites fly alongside the boat in spectacular style, catching the bait thrown from the boat's stern.
I travelled with APT Kings on one of their small group tours from Darwin CBD with a friendly and knowledgeable tour guide driver. He gave the group an informative commentary as we traversed the landscape, seeing the breadth of the amazing NT nature along the way. Our return journey took us through the Fogg Dam Conservation Reserve across wetlands, with a rich mix of birds and animals from brolgas to buffalos.
