Creative workshops designed to satisfy your creative needs, will begin on the weekend of 10 October 2015 with a Clay Figurine workshop in Point Cook:
Make a Pit-Fired Clay Figurine

Pit-fired clay figurine workshop
If you've ever fancied having a go at making a wee clay sculpture, well this is your opportunity! Get your hands dirty with wet clay, and sculpt yourself a figurine with the help of sculptor Carolyn Warren-Langford. Because you will need to dry and pit-fire your clay creation, this workshop takes place over two sessions.
When: Saturday 10 October & Saturday 31 October 2015. 11am - 3pm.

Spend the afternoon scouring the beach with your fellow artists, collecting inspiration for your watercolour art class. Renowned artist Caroline Esbenshade will lead this interesting nature based workshop, in which you will learn more of the region's marine life, and put your new watercolour painting techniques to use.

Learn to Screen Print in a Day
Colour Box Studio's sought after screen-printing workshop is back in the Special Workshop Showcase. The Learn to Screen Print in a Day is exactly as it sounds. Liz Doust of ambette will teach you the techniques you need to put screen print your own design onto fabric. Basic fabric provided, but you can bring your own black t-shirt, apron or tea towel if you wish.

Learn Photography Basics with your Smartphone

Smart Phone Camera Photography
You probably ditched your camera around the same time that you acquired your first smart phone, but do you really know how to make the most out of your smart phone's camera? This interactive series of three workshops will take place over 3 sessions in November.
Facilitated by Melbourne photographer Ellen Clendining, you will enjoy a series of fun classes in which you will learn more about lighting, composition, staging, posing and post production of images using your smart phone and the Instagram app. You'll also enjoy some fun with a photo booth session, too.
To end the workshop series, there will be a public photography exhibition of your handiwork and your fellow workshop participants!

Make your own Rag Rug

Make a Rag Rug
You've probably seen trendy rag rugs sold in retail stores, well now you can learn to make your own with teacher and textile artist Beverley Cox. Using knotting and weaving techniques you will make your own household furnishing. You'll be taught to prepare fabric strips, choose colours and design, and hook fabric lengths using a crotchet hook into an open weave base.
