Benedict Cumberbatch stars in Shakespeare’s great tragedy
In English National Theatre's production of William Shakespeare's Hamlet, Benedict Cumberbatch stars as Hamlet. With what is reported to be masterful direction by Lyndsey Turner and production by Sonia Friedman Productions, this event is sure to be a treat for Shakespearean and Cumberbatch fans alike.
Broadcast live internationally and in partnership with National Theatre Live, The Regal Theatre at Kensington Park is hosting two live broadcasts - both commencing at 7pm with tickets available at the door at $20 per adult or $15 per senior. The first screening will be held on Saturday, 7th November 2015 and the second (and final) screening will be held on Tuesday, 10th November 2015.
Originally published in 1603, Hamlet is arguably one of Shakespeare's more notable and timeless masterpieces performed the world over.
Audiences will bear witness as Hamlet (Benedict Cumberbatch) avenges his father's death whilst struggling with his inner demons to achieve the outcome he desires - with tragic circumstances for Hamlet and those close to him.
This is a brilliant opportunity to 'seize the day' - as 'though this be madness, yet there is method in't.' (Hamlet - Act II, Scene II)
