Hunter Stadium is the proud host of the first Special Olympics Asia Pacific Games for 2013. What better way to kick off the event than with the Opening Ceremony.
At 7pm on the 1st of December, show your support, as you witness an unforgettable two hour experience, filled with music, dance, theatre, lights and fireworks.
The Opening Ceremony will include:

A parade of the 2500 special Olympics Athletes from the 32 participating nations
The lighting of the Games Cauldron
An Athletes oath recited by the Athletes

Directed by John Foreman, this is one of the biggest line-ups of performers in Newcastle since the 1990 Earthquake Relief concert.
