(#SLSFF) is back for its 2nd year! Held from 1pm on Saturday March 26th at QRCC, this event showcases the best of local and internationship Indie filmmaking talent.



There is something pretty special which sets this film festival apart - the films included each have heart. Any genre, any style, but each of the chosen films explore what it is to be human - the courage, realness and rawness around the human spirit.

Sparrowland Film Festival runs all day, culminating in an awards ceremony and a 'best of showing', carefully chosen from nearly 200 entries. Notable entries to look out for include 'Cocoon' by Iranian filmmaker, Yavar Darehzami, 'Lumen Gadgets', directed by Dany Manrique from Colombia and 'A Godless Country' from Australian director Jesse Richardson.



The program runs as follows:
1pm - Documentary Hour
2pm - Live Theatre Sports
3pm - Student Showcase
4pm - Q&A Panel of local filmmakers
5pm - Best of QLD
6pm - Mix & Mingle
7pm - Best of the Best
9pm - Awards
The ticket price of $20 gives you access to all sessions throughout the day. You can purchase tickets here , or at the door. There will also be a cash bar onsite and roving artists to provide further entertainment.
