Located on Level 1 of the Queensland Museum, SparkLab combines fun and education to provide an environment to question, test and design. Guests will enjoy playing the colourful pipes with thongs, creating clouds and building circuits to create wind or sound an alarm. In addition, the Science Bar allows guests to get up close and personal with experiments.

The craft area is popular amongst the youngsters. The current challenge is to create an object that will fly down a piece of string, acting like a zip line. The table is full of items to spark the imagination including pipe cleaners, popsicle sticks, bulldog clips, paperclips, strings, tape and colourful paper. Children can then add items to place inside their vehicle including plastic fruit, toys or vehicles.

SparkLab is a timed experience. Open daily until 5pm, the first entry occurs at 9.40am then hourly from 11.00am. Purchasing tickets in advance is recommended.
