The Spare Parts Puppet Theatre has joined forces with the City of South Perth to take part in their Evolve program, which offers a range of practical and professional art, skills and culture workshops. This exciting program kicked off in June and will run until August 2020. Evolve caters to a wide range of interests and skill levels and offers workshops both online and in-person for affordable prices.
The Spare Parts Puppet Theatre is Australia's flagship puppet theatre. They will be hosting an 'open creativity' paper bag puppet workshop designed for children 9 years and older at the George Burnett Leisure Centre in Karawara on Sunday, 19 July 2020 from 2pm to 3.30PM for $15 per person (plus booking fee). Participants in the class will learn all about puppet making, explore character design through form and texture, and learn about how to perform through communication, movement, portrayal of emotion and improvisation. Children will be required to be supervised by a parent or a guardian during the workshop. Spots for this workshop are filling up fast, so click here to book!
