Life is about the journey - some roads are not always what they seem but you sure learn a great deal from them!

SpaceX was founded by Elon Musk in 2002. Some may remember Elon Musk for selling a online payment platform known as paypal to EBay for 1.9 billion dollars.

SpaceX recently made history by manufacturing sustainable rockets by successfully landing them after they have been launched. This alone has shifted the bar in regards to future space travel and cost thereof.

The space travel road has not always been a successful one. In the beginning, Elon Musk made trips to Russia to purchase rockets. Due to an unsatisfactory acquisition, Musk returned to the USA empty handed. He later came up with a notion to build his own rockets which launched SpaceX into business.

After winning the NASA contract to resupply the International Space Station (ISS) with cargo, SpaceX has over 70 launches under their belt.

Notably, not all were successful due to my last trip to Cape Canaveral to witness the launch of CRS-7. Unfortunately, due to a weakness in a strut, the CRS-7 failed to launch with a mid-air explosion.

With SpaceX latest achievements means the cost of Space Travel has been reduced significantly. It also impacts the future travel plans to Mars. One of the major concerns is the trip back from Mars which could prove difficult without self-launch capacity.
Together with NASA, SpaceX is able to offer many solutions which is viable and profitable and allows for man's next step into planetary travel.
Currently, SpaceX has 3 launch areas with most launches taking place from NASA in Cape Canaveral. While some can watch a launch from a distance, only American residence or Media may witness a launch from designated areas which also happen to be on the property of the United States Air-force.
SpaceX has transformed space travel as we know it. Up until 2002, Space Travel was costly using a range of fuels which could have an negative impact on the environment. However, with the combination of using Oxygen for fuel and re-usable rockets, SpaceX has single handedly transformed space travel into an environmental friendly sustainable solution, altering all concepts of former space travel initiatives.
