Tour stops off in Birmingham, Oxford, Warwick, London
It's 10 years since the Grammy Award-winning Soweto Gospel Choir formed and the talented group is now marking the occasion with a limited tour of the UK.

Soweto Gospel Choir is touring the UK

The Gospel choir tours the UK from November 12 to 25 and stops off at cities including Birmingham, Malvern, Warwick, Oxford and the outskirts of London.

Billed as a "joyful spectacular of song and dance", the choir brings a range of music that has made them a worldwide success including tracks from their sixth album, Divine Decade.

Soweto Gospel Choir, which has fans including Oprah Winfrey, Nelson Mandela and Archbishop Desmond Tutu, is a vocal ensemble that creates a memorable night of music.

Although the choir officially formed in 2002, its roots date back to 2003 in Australia when it secured its first ticketed performance. A year later the choir went down a storm at the Edinburgh Festival and has never looked back.

Since then, the choir has won two Grammy awards, an Emmy and an Oscar nomination, and has performed and recorded with the likes of Stevie Wonder, Andre Rieu, Aretha Franklin and Peter Gabriel during their first decade.

The choir is an ambassador for Nelson Mandela's 46664 campaign and has also founded its own AIDS orphans foundation, Nkosi's Haven Vukani, to assist organisations that receive little or no funding.

The concert is packed full of harmonius, uplifting music, which even Brian May of rock band Queen has described as "you have never seen or heard such infectious joy".
