Southside Market is celebrating their second birthday this July and all are invited to come along and enjoy the festivities.

This special birthday edition of the Southside Market will be held on Saturday, 27th July from 11 am to 4 pm at St Kilda RSL (Level 1, 88 Acland Street), which is easily accessible via Trams 96 and 79.

Being a birthday event, market goers will be offered a piece of scrumptious birthday cake and can then peruse the wide range of stalls featuring retro and vintage clothing for men and women, as well as handmade art and craft items created by local independent artists and designers.

Some of the July stallholder highlights include the designer leather label Ivy & White, which was created by mother and daughter team Penny and Emma Whitely; regular Southside favourite Liberty's Heart, known for their gorgeous vintage finds; and Unfazed and Confuzed, who will showcase their amusing assortment of fridge magnets carrying phrases from pop-culture, cult movies and nonsensical musings.

Plus the RSL bar will be open from noon so grab a drink and raise a birthday toast to Southside Market creaters, Anne Freeman and Fin Macdonald on Saturday, 27th July - it is sure to be a fun and festive event.

I don't think I've seen a market in a venue like that before; it looks more like a shop.
