The inaugural
Southside Live Festival free music event will be held from
Friday 24 June to Sunday 3 July 2022 (performances on 24-26 Jun & 1-3 July with a break of 4 days in between). It's all about the music and all are welcome to enjoy exciting performances at Victoria's most popular St Kilda Foreshore, with the stage set up on the South Beach Lawn of South Beach Reserve, looking out to the Bay. You'll be surrounded by a winter wonderland with hot food, mulled wine, winter market stalls and displays of light and neon for a unique experience to celebrate the return of live music.

Presented by City of Port Phillip as part of the Victorian Government's '
On The Road Again' initiative that supports the return of live music events, this is a winter wonderland with a free curated program of Victorian music for everyone. Expect to see 22 bands and music acts, plus an additional children's program in the school holidays featuring
Teeny Tiny Stevies and the
Bluey Live Interactive Experience.

The Black Sorrows
This all ages program features jazz, soul, funk, orchestral, RnB, indie, rock and more, from many of Victoria's much-loved musicians including Mitch Tambo, Hiatus Kaiyote, Adalita, Isaiah Firebrace, Briggs, The Black Sorrows, Emma Donovan & The Putbacks, Bumpy, Kira Puru, Freeds and many more. For this event, City of Port Phillip has collaborated and partnered with local creative industries, artists, venues and events to showcase the best of the south side and includes the '
Locals Playing Locals' program. Southside Live is working at re-establishing connection between music and place to give the music industry more opportunities.
You'll find a compelling lineup of musicians and performances that will bring the community together to celebrate live music. Find the
full lineup and program here. You can also look up the lineup via the
daily schedule so you don't miss out on your favourites. However, we've been starving for live music events for so long, it's a good idea to get out and discover new performers and support the music industry and our musicians.
