Coming live from the Logan Entertainment Centre, this special annual concert will be featuring other guest artists as well, including the River City Clippers, Brisbane's Male Barbershop Chorus, and the Freedom Train Community Choir. Initially formed in 1992, the Southern Cross Voices aim is to 'blend music excellence with community participation.' For twenty years, this musically talented group of singers from all ages and stages of life have perform at various events, such as the ANCA Community Choir Concert, Listen to the Music, and at the Christmas Carols in the City, to name but a few. They have also taken their music to the streets, singing at Anzac Day performances, Australia Day performances, and even in the Queen Street Mall.
The Southern Cross Voices accept keen, talented singers from the local community to join them; the only requirement being able to sing in tune. Those interested in joining are asked to attend rehearsals and fill out a membership form. Details are available on the website.
