If you are looking for a great family night out, you can't go wrong with an open-air carols night. South Adelaide Football club is hosting a fabulous Carols night in the South on Sunday December 13th at the South Adelaide Football Club. There is a great line up of entertainment and some wonderful old favourite carols to sing.

Guest Artists and Santa
Here is a little of what you can look forward to this year. Guest artist Rose Sinesi will sing one of her favourite carols. The Onkaparinga City Concert Band, along with the Southern Singers will lead in some community carol singing. Venture Theatre Company always find songs everyone enjoys and Christies Beach High School and Cardijn College students will each represent their respective schools with a bracket of Christmas songs. This year sees the return of Monique Watson, who always sounds beautiful no matter what the song. Plus the ladies from Sisters of Abundance Choir along with a number of other artists are preparing to wow the audience with their sassy style. Of course that grand old gentleman in red will also pay a visit along with Mother Claus. There is so much to look forward to at this great family event.

The Sounds of Christmas
Christmas Carols always bring the sound of good tidings to all and good will and this Christmas event will be no exception. This special event is staged each year by a group of dedicated volunteers with all the entertainers volunteering their time free of charge.

Gold Coin Entry
The carols concert is presented by the Panther Club Inc. and held in the wonderful outdoor atmosphere of Hickinbotham Oval, Lovelock Drive, Noarlunga Downs. Your gold coin entry will not only get you a great night's entertainment but you will also be supporting the charity work of Junction Australia, of which part proceeds are awarded to.

Kids Time Starts at 6.15pm
Christmas is especially for children and the evening will begin with a special "Kids Time" when the 'In Step Dance team' and Ronald McDonald and other friends coming to visit. Also during Kids Time will be "Footy Fun" with the South Adelaide Football players, where children can meet the players and join in some football activities. There's lots to do during the 45 minutes of Kids time before the big show starts at 7pm.

Fireworks Finale
The gates open to the public at 5:30pm with Kids Time beginning at 6:15pm and the carols concert at 7pm. As it is an outdoor event you will need to bring a rug or a chair to sit on and as the sun goes down behind the grand stand it can get chilly on the oval, so bring a jacket for warmth. What a night it is going to be. Food and drink available on the night. The night sky will light up with a fireworks display for the finale of this very special night.

Reminder: Licensing laws do not allow alcohol on the oval. As this is a family event there is no smoking on the oval – a designated smoking area will be available for those who feel the need to smoke. For safety reasons glass on the oval is discouraged.
