A pleasant surprise and located in the heart of Fairfield, only a few minutes walking distance from Fairfield station, this unassuming takeaway shop sells fresh food cooked daily at fast food prices, complete with table service.
It can be easily missed nestled within Fairfield Chase, but if you are looking for traditional Chilean and Latin American homemade favourites cooked by passionate people, then it is worth the search.

My recent visit there was on a Saturday around 1:30pm and just as with previous visits, noticeably the main buzz of activity in the otherwise seemingly quiet shopping mall was focused outside this takeaway shop and a lot of faces were of the same regulars I've seen consistently.
Family business owned and run by Eduardo and Stella Caballero
Family owned and run since 22 September 2006, husband and wife team Eduardo and Stella Caballero come from a background of hospitality with a wealth of knowledge accumulated over decades in the industry prior, which translates through to the quality of food and personable service and attention to detail they provide.
Hand delivering each and every plate of food, Stella ensured that I, along with everyone else received the full restaurant treatment which was warm and refreshing and removed me from the food court atmosphere.
Predominantly showcasing Chilean traditional cuisine, some examples being Empanadas (beef, chicken and cheese pies oven baked or fried), Mariscal (seafood dish of mussels, prawns, scallops etc cooked with white wine and seafood stock), Humitas (thick cream of corn wrapped and cooked in corn leaves) and the ever sought after Completo (hot dog with the works), this Latin American oasis also sells traditional dishes from Spain, Argentina, Peru and El Salvador, to name just a few. In fact if you can't see it on the menu Stella often welcomes requests for those of you that are yearning for those homeland flavours or are just feeling adventurous.
All the food is made on site, from their Chilenitos con dulce de lech (pastry layers filled with condensed milk based caramel) to their Pan Amasado (typical Chilean bread) and everything in between. It is a one stop shop, eat in, take away and catering is also available for parties and functions.
Empanadas (Chilean style pies), Sopaipillas (kind of fried pumpkin pastry or bread, can be eaten as a savoury or sweet), Arollado (Chilean pork roll), Escabeche (pickled onions) and Chilenitos con dulce de leche (pastry layers filled with condensed milk based caramel).
