South Terrace Glover Playground is a huge area in the Southern Parklands where kids can run free using their information. With a huge set of equipment this playground creates a safe and fun environment for kids to enjoy themselves.
The main play area at the Playground is a very large area, it has multiple slides, climbing frames, ladders, bridges and games. There is room for children to run around, and explore the playground. As well as the general play equipment things like the mini 'general store' will help children use their imagination as they play.
More fun comes from the sandpit and the brightly coloured tunnels that go through the park. Children are able to build their own games in the space, using everything that is on offer. One of the real highlights of the playground is the wheelchair swing, which means even children confined to a wheelchair can still find the playground fun. To use this swing call 82037203 to get the access code, they are open Monday to Friday from 8:30am-5:30pm.
As well as being a place for fun, the park is designed with children's safety in mind. The entire playground is fenced so that children are kept safe from the busy road, and adults are not allowed to enter the playground unless they have children, making this a very child friendly zone.
There are toilet facilities on the playground, and you would also easily be able to set up a picnic on the grass with the kids. If you're looking for a more substantial lunch, then heading to the nearby BMX track will give you access to barbecue facilities and picnic benches. You can always head back to the playground when you're done eating.
The South Terrace Glover Playground is a fun place to take the kids, and being situated in the Southern Parklands most other facilities you may need will all be close by. The park can be a great way to end a busy day in the city, where the kids can play and you can relax.
