The South St Ale House is a great little find with a bar, restaurant and live music. If you are looking for a place to have a couple of drinks with friends, a family meal or just want to listen to the live music , then this place is definitely worth a visit.



The South St Ale House has recently had a full refurbishment and the two storey pub looks better than ever. Downstairs in the main bar you can still get an icy cold beer with 13 different beers on tap, have a game of pool, watch the game or listen to the band. Choose something to eat from the bar menu like the BLT, steak sandwich or chicken and bacon burger, all served with hot chips and costing only $10.00 each.

Upstairs in the restaurant the atmosphere is slightly more refined and relaxed. The menu has a large variety of seafood, chicken, steak and pasta dishes to choose from all at reasonable prices. Plenty of side dishes, specials and a kids menu - you will be spoilt for choice. There are also daily specials on offer such as the all day roast for $15.00 on Sundays, porterhouse steak or chicken parmigiana for $19.00 on Saturdays or the chilli mussels or ribs with a glass of wine for $15.00 on Tuesdays.



A very popular night spot, The South St Ale House has a reputation for having something good to eat every day. They offer daily delicious meal and drink specials for around the $20.00 mark and other great daily specials too. Friday night is 'Karaoke Night' from 8pm, Tuesday is 'Tight Tuesday', Wednesday is 'Half Price' night with most of the restaurant meals at half the regular price, Friday and Saturday night there are cocktails for $5.00 from 5pm and Sunday there is live entertainment from 3pm.



The South St Ale House has a private cocktail lounge that is perfect for parties and special occasions and can accommodate up to 80 people. With platters, set menus or a specially customised menu available, there is something to suit any taste and budget and your next special occasion will be a hit.
