Ignore the fruit and veg; find the chocolate
The South Melbourne Market will once again see a frenzy of egg-searchers screaming through and weaving their way around the market for its yearly Easter egg hunt.
The entire South Melbourne Market will be turned into a giant Easter egg hunt again this Easter! After meeting the Easter Bunny in the market's Centre Aisle, those participating in the Easter egg hunt will be given a map and a market bag.
Then, it is everyone for themselves as the market is searched from top to tail for delicious chocolate treasures that have been hidden all around its aisles and between its market stalls.
This year, South Melbourne Market's Easter egg hunt will take place on Saturday 20 April 2019 and there are three time slots that those wanting to rush around and search the market for Easter eggs can choose from: 10am, 10.20am and 10.40am.
Sorry adults, this is for kids only and the recommended age for participating children is under the age of 12.
Tickets are only $5 and 100% of the ticket price is donated to the Royal Children's Hospital's Good Friday Appeal.
Other Easter events at the market over Easter include a number of appearances by the Easter bunny, which will be hopping around the market dispensing chocolate treats on Thursday 18th April, Saturday 20th April and Sunday 21st April, Easter bunny pancake making, and face painting.
