From the Wheel of Brisbane to Streets Beach, South Bank is the perfect riverside location for families to have fun, especially with the introduction of the . We've spent many Sundays visiting the Children's Gallery at The Gallery of Modern Art, followed by a wander along the Clem Jones Promenade to the park for an ice cream.

Yesterday, we did just that, and discovered that The Parklands Cafes by the Ibis Lake are currently promoting their . Each of the venues taking part are offering Kids Meal Deals for $6, where each child receives a free Happy Pack - which includes two balloons, a small bottle of bubbles, coloring pencils, and coloring competition entry.

To "join" the , all kids need to do is order a Kids Meal Deal from one of the South Bank cafes - perhaps a Vegemite, Ham or Nutella Crepe/juice combo from the Crepe Cafe , a six inch Subway/juice combo, nuggets and chips from Cafe Lagoonas, or an ice cream/water combo from New Zealand Ice Cream.

The $6 Meal Deal and Happy Pack is a great school holiday option, especially if you're heading to South Bank for the day and in need of some child friendly refreshments.
