Event:
Go Behind the Scenes
The South Australian Museum's Science Centre is having an Open Day! There will be limited places available on each of the 13 tours that will run on Saturday 19th August and tickets are free. Go online and book as soon as possible.

There will also be spots available on the day for those who haven't booked - these will be very limited and allocated on a 'first come - first served' basis.

The Science Centre Open Day is an opportunity to get a rare, behind-the-scenes look at the collections in the Australian Polar, Biological Sciences, Mineral Sciences, Palaeontology and Information Resources sections.

Tours will be led by SA Museum scientists. You'll be able to see Museum collections and research work that is rarely seen by members of the public.

The Open Day is being run in conjunction with National Science Week 2017.

Science Week is held each August and there's a huge number of activities and events that you and the family can get involved in, including some online fun and competitions.

The Museum free Open Day tours are always very popular - if you're keen to book a ticket, it's a good idea to do it before they are sold out.

If you have any questions or need help with your booking, please call the Museum on 8207 7575 or email programs@samuseum.sa.gov.au.

The South Australian Museum is located on North Terrace in the city. Follow the signs from the main Museum building to get to the Science Centre

Tours run for 45 minutes and the times available are: 11am, 11.15am, 11.30am, 12noon, 12.15pm, 12.30pm, 1.30pm, 2pm, 2.15pm, 2.30pm, 3pm, 3.15pm and 3.30pm
