There is plenty to see and do at this Museum
The South Australian Museum is home to five floors of captivating exhibits and displays of regularly changing exhibitions.

It houses over four million objects and specimens featuring Australia's national heritage.

There are permanent galleries featuring extensive collections and exhibits. The galleries showcase a range of natural and cultural heritage, Australia's past, present and future exhibits, and examples of real-life specimens, including examples that are researched by the Museum's scientists.

The South Australian Museum also features an array of changing exhibitions, so do check these out.

Discover, experience and learn with the range of interactive displays as well as the range of vibrant programs which offer opportunities to learn about science, nature and the cultural world around us.

There are also many child-friendly activities that the kids will love. The activities encourage their natural curiosity for science and the world around them.

Be sure to check out the Discovery Centre, which is located on Level 1, to get all questions answered. You can get the chance to learn more about the exhibits as well as help to identify any specimens that you bring in!

Look into the world of the Museums micro eye, as you witness bees busily making honey, hands-on experience and plenty more fun activities to enjoy as you learn something new at the same time. The Discovery Centre is perfect for the whole family too.

The Museum also hosts free guided tours daily which are run at 11am weekdays and 2pm and 3pm on weekends.

The Museum also has a café located on site as well as a Museum Shop which sells books, toys, unique handmade crafts, jewellery and items you will not find anywhere else.

The South Australian Museum is the perfect place of interest to explore, learn and experience... making it the perfect day out!
