Port Adelaide has many significant attractions and one of these places holds some pretty incredible history. If you are interested in aviation the you must get down to the beautiful Port and visit the .

The museum has several aircraft on display including the iconic Supermarine Spitfire, a Navy helicopter, and a beautiful Douglas C-47B Dakota. There are also various displays with lots of very interesting information on some of our most famous aviators like Amy Johnson and Sir Charles Kingsford Smith.

One of the most fascinating displays is that of the Woomera Rocket collection, detailing the types of rockets fired back in the 1950s. We have all heard about what went on in Woomera but this really gives an excellent insight into what was actually going on up there, and the impact this may have had on the environment.

Overall the museum is a fascinating place to visit and I can promise you the kids will really enjoy it as well. The museum is located on Lipson Street at Port Adelaide and is also open 7 days a week.
