The inaugural
Sound On Festival presented by the
Murdoch University is a must-attend event exclusively for TAFE and High School students from 14 to 18 years. This event will combine music with immersive and innovative techniques, which can give school leavers guidance to choose their life path and potential after high school.
The Murdoch University is known for its free-thinking in learning, teaching, life-changing research, an innovative campus and industry developments. Sir Walter Murdoch (1926) stated "
the only education out of which good can come is the reduction which teaches you to think for yourself, instead of swallowing whatever the fashion of the moment may prescribe" and this is the way the Murdoch University still teaches today.
The event will be held in the
Perth Arena , 700 Wellington Street, Perth on Friday 28th September from 3.00pm. Cost is $39.95 per person and it is an alcohol and drug-free event. You will be required to show proof of age or a high school /TAFE enrolment to enter.
Entertainment for the event includes Alison Wonderland, Cosmo's Midnight, Tkay Maidza, Sam Perry, Arno Faraji and FlexMami along with DJ Shann. As well as the music, there will be a chat panel hosted by The Indigo Project where you can hear from artists relating their intimate stories.
There will also be a video games lounge, communal art and hip chill-out space, and an experimental photo booth.
Tickets are on sale now. This is a great opportunity for teenagers to explore their options and put their dreams into motion while having fun as well.
