Nourish your soul and eat till you drop. An authentic street style vibe with a feast, freshly cooked and served outdoors. Accompanied by a full bar menu and exclusive cocktails for the evening, settle in and undo that top button of your pants!

Soulfood Saturdays, are currently held every six to eight weeks at the Brunswick West cafe.
The next session will be on Saturday 18th August 2018.
There are two evening sessions, 5-7pm, and 7-9pm. All you can eat prices are $30 for adults and $15 for children. Bookings are essential as sessions book out fast. Reservations can be made by calling the number below.

Lankan Tucker

With the Melbourne brunch scene as popular as ever, good food and great coffee are what Melburnians seek. This gourmet cafe unites traditional Sri Lankan cuisine with an Australian lifestyle. Alongside an integrated menu there are share plates available, creating a sense of harmony and unity.

Owners Hiran and Nerissa, deliver a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. With years of festival experience under their belt, you just know the menu will be full of colour and full of flavour. Opening the cafe three years ago, this young Sri Lankan couple had their hearts set on uniting the unique culture and cuisine of their home country with the Melbourne cafe/brunch scene, and they have done just that.

Serving breakfast and lunch, you can also choose between smaller "bites" dishes and "little tucker", for the kids. The versatile menu caters for vegan, vegetarian, and allergies. In the warmer Summer months, share style dinners can be savoured with a full bar menu, including cocktails.

Lankan Tucker prides itself for both delicious food and rich, aromatic coffee. Homecooked Sri Lankan recipes include dishes like "Sri Lankan Staple", one of the gluten-free and vegan options on the menu. This specialty includes housemade red rice flour string-hoppers or rice, beetroot curry, lentils with spinach, green sambal, coconut sambal, apricot chutney & pappadums. The perfect way to introduce yourself to Sri Lankan cuisine with a little taste of everything on the one plate.

Alternatively, if you are not keen on spice, choose a more western dish, such as avocado smash with halloumi and poached eggs on cornbread.

Coffee is an important part of Melburnian lives and at Lankan Tucker, you can enjoy distinctive, specialty coffee from St Ali Roasters and the Brunswick local, Code Black Coffee.

Additionally, if you enjoyed your coffee and condiments from your meal, Lankan Tucker have an array of Sri Lankan delights for sale. The retail collection of homemade jams, chutneys, specialty drinks, tea and coffee are available to purchase and enjoy at home. And if you are a sweet tooth, indulge in a slice of mouth-watering milk toffee, the perfect finale to a spicy meal.

Sri Lankan cuisine is hard to come by in the northern suburbs of Melbourne. Lankan Tucker have cleverly exposed us to a combination of fresh contemporary, yet traditional Sri Lankan flavours. So, let's bring back the soul food of Sri Lanka and tantalise the taste buds. Head down to Lankan Tucker, I guarantee, you won't be disappointed.
