Soul and Sun is bringing an exotic Persian touch to Brisbane with its soul, its atmosphere and its range of treats, meals and even carpets for sale, all with a Middle-Eastern twist. I have visited Soul and Sun twice, for breakfast and afternoon tea, and found it to be delightful.

The front of the cafe had an elaborate sign with winged tigers and sun rays perfectly signifying the name. The theme was very clear with the blue-tiled fountain, the carpets draped over the walls and floors and the selection of tasty treats including baklava, Turkish delight, macarons and heaps of other indulgences. For my first visit, I tried the baklava and cardamon tea and was impressed that the baklava held together beautifully.

For my second visit, I ordered the breakfast wrap which came with toast, salad and caramelised onion. It came out quickly and was a sublime addition to my morning. The place had the same lovely vibe of Persian, modern and exotic all woven into one with many people coming for a coffee and sweets.
