Situated in the newly developed Eaton Fair shopping complex, the Soul of Asia introduces a new style of restaurant dining to the Southwest region.
I first dined there on Valentine's day, not long after the restaurant had opened. I was admittedly a bit hesitant about it though due to their undeniably expensive pricing. We paid $78 for the couples Valentine's Day deal but after dining there, the price of the meal seems justifiable in my opinion.
Our meal consisted of six exceptionally tasty components.
We chose pork belly and marinated beef as our main meats, there was an option of about four 'main meats' and neither of us regretted our decisions. The meat was cooked by us on the hot plates which I thought was such a fun experience, something completely unlike anything else I've experienced in the South West.
My partner and I had such a fun time cooking our own meals. I think its a fabulous new twist on dining out and the food tastes exceptional. Totally worth the price we paid.
I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to young familes though, as the hot plates could possibly be hazardous for young children and there is a degree of patience required with the cooking. Though, for anyone else a night out at this restaurant is a must!
