With Christmas around the corner, we decided to top up on our arsenal of Christmas giving and festive food haunts to try and buy. One of the most interesting food haunts I have discovered of late is Soul Kitchen Vegan Bakery and Café at Buderim's Middy's Shopping Centre. There's a lot to investigate at Soul Kitchen, with its quirky unique artwork outside and inside, the welcoming homey atmosphere, having a chat with owners Hugh and Shirley Forster or trolling through the menu ingredients of the much-loved food.
This gastronomical delight is a blessing for anyone who has food allergies or who enjoy clean living with its wide variety of tasty, nutritious and organic sweet and savoury options. Having to decide which option to quench the tastes buds is never an easy task at Soul Kitchen's Bakery and Café. With all the pickings we treated ourselves to a Thai Curry Pie with fresh homemade Tomato Relish, a Hot Chocolate with cacao, not chocolate powder, a Creamy Vegetable Pastry and Lemon Cream Pie. Soul Kitchen has it all and offers up the goods when it comes to eating out or takeaway with its quirky environmentally friendly packaging that was delivered with love for our takeaway Red Velvet Cupcake.
This year Soul Kitchen has made their very own Christmas cake and is available to pre-order. This Christmas cake won't disappoint even the pickiest of eaters as it is made from scratch to take to those BBQs or offer as a gift. Sizes and prices range from small to large serving four to six or fifteen. Prices start from $15 to $48. Soul Kitchen operates up until the 21st of December 2019. For further information, check out Soul Kitchen at www.soulkitchenbakery.com.au or pop on in at Shop 4/29 Main Street, Buderim.
