How does a buffet breakfast sound? Too good to resist?
This little beauty of a cafe is nestled in between the Redwood Park local shops, one of them being a popular IGA which seems to get all the attention, so 'Soul Food Espresso' itself, can quite easily be missed. It is such a shame as I am guilty of this myself. This little family friendly cafe has been open for 6 and 1/2 years and I have only just discovered it, and I am so glad.
This unique little place seems to have it all, from a buffet breakfast on the weekends, to a fenced kids play area. So grab yourself a coffee, make a choice from the fine selection of cakes and sweets, perhaps grab a magazine from the racks and let the kids have a play while you relax. It doesn't get better than this.
The play area is spacious and has a fair amount of toys and a huge blackboard. The kids are bound to keep entertained. When they have a break from playing you may want to grab them a babychino. It's very cute.
The buffet breakfast runs only on the weekends. It consists of bacon, eggs, sausages, hash browns, tomatoes, mushrooms, baked beans, pancakes, cereal and toast. It is very tempting, you will be unable to resist. For an adult it costs $13.50. Kids 5-12yrs $6.00 and kids under 5yrs are free.
This cafe aims to please, the staff are friendly, the coffee is divine, the food is great and the atmosphere is pure bliss. The menu itself may not be huge but I'm pretty sure that everyone will find something to suit and at a reasonable price too.
Come on your own, with your family and friends or in a group. It is the perfect setting for a relaxed catch up.
