Piccolo latte just the shot
On a Sunday morning Sorella's Espresso Lounge offers a warm country welcome and a haven for a private tete-a-tete. Formerly 'My Perfect Cuppa', Sorella's is a favourite with the business clientele on Ruthven Street.
It's the perfect spot for a break if you are en route from the Toowoomba City Library to the shopping district, or perhaps after a visit to the nearby Art Gallery. An inviting lounge can help ease the tensions of study or perhaps for a chat after church at St Luke's Anglican.
A wide variety of beverages is available including affogato coffee, white mocha coffee, vanilla chai latte and the intriguing 'dirty chai'. Not a chai drinker I selected a piccolo latte and a slice of toasted honey and date loaf with butter. The latte was a strong brew in a shot glass served with a smile. The cabinet has several choices including one gluten free.
The prices are reasonable and you could happen in for 'hump day half price coffee'. The humble decor is a cross between French and art deco. Also adorning the walls are several paintings for sale.
Put your feet up with a friend or a good book when you're next in the neighbourhood.
Open 7:00am - 2:00pm weekdays; 7:00am - 12:00pm weekends. For more information visit the website.
