I like to participate in life rather than be a spectator. Music, dancing, theatre, travelling, food, cycling and walking are some of my passions. Writing is an enjoyable pastime that allows me to share my experiences.

A small bar with a bug atmosphere

The sorcerer's bar (website image)
The Sorcerer's Bar is small in size but very big in atmosphere and the adage that good things come in small packages certainly holds true here. The quirky wizardry themed space opened in April 2019 and is a great place to visit after work, before dinner or for late-night drinks.

It is very small, possibly "Adelaide's tiniest bar" and only holds 25 patrons. 15 inside and 10 outside. The talented bar staff have fun mixing up special shots, cocktails and "smoking" cauldrons and they pride themselves on their fine range of draught German beers. Meals are not served here but they do offer some interesting bar snacks like butterscotch popcorn, wasabi peas and Shitake mushroom chips.

There is plenty to look at whether you sit inside the mysterious and cosy decorated cave or outside, where there is always an interesting passing parade.

Get in to the Sorcerer's Bar for the best Butterbeer shot outside of Hogwarts.
