Kickback, laugh, enjoy, share with some very talented performers
Surely, after everything the last year or two has thrown at us, a pleasant uplifting evening is something that we would all benefit from. Enter Songs for a New World.

Songs for a new world, musical, theatre, community, self-help
Share a night with these amazing performers, in the comfort of your own lounge room.

Songs For a New World brings together some of the most amazing performers right into your own lounge room. You will support local performers while having a great night in. In this show, you will find a contemporary song cycle, which is weaving both the characters and history together on a journey of self-discovery.

It's about one moment. It's about hitting the wall and having to make a choice... or take a stand... or turn around and go back. These are the stories and characters of today, the Songs for a New World.

Jason Robert Brown (Parade, Bridges of Madison County), brings right into your lounge room his first musical. With a powerful collection of songs, you will find yourself looking at your life, your love, the choices you and everyone else make.

Due to lockdown, theatre (and especially local theatre) has been one of the hardest hit areas. Before lockdown was even a consideration, in late 2008, a young, small group came together inspired by the love of music to bring about their own season. They created a show which no local theatre companies wanted to produce,

They performed RENT, produced in 2009 and the creative team that brought us this, were the show founders of Staged by Creatives, performing under the name SBC Productions.

The founding members, Dylan Shalless, Laurence Heenan, Siobhan Heenan, Matthew Henderson and Jordan Ryan, under the careful guidance of Matthew and Cathy Heenan, produced A New Brain (2011) & Bare (2012), before other creative and professional endeavours put the company on standby.

Their team have been doing a lot separately and together since their last shows; studying, performing, creating and honing their craft. A lot has changed, but their passion remains.

Their goal is to bring a dedicated, high-quality creative experience in theatre to the community, exploring innovative and boutique productions.

Finding it difficult to get audiences back into theatres, they have decided to bring this to you online. It is filmed in front of a small audience and will produce a wonderful theatre experience right in your own lounge room.

You can choose the time that suits you to log in and view the show, maybe even make a special event of it with your own friends and family.

Purchase your ticket here for the streamed performance of Songs for a New World, starring Vanessa Belsar, Emily Jacker-Lawrence, Bronte Wright, Laurence Heenan, Dylan Shalless & Jolan Walker.

After your purchase, you will be emailed a link to access your stream. You may watch as many times as you like from February 25th to March 25th 2021. After this date, there may be other events or extended dates, so check in anyway.

From as little as $12, that is an amazing price for a full show and it even comes with a feelgood aspect knowing you are supporting local performers.
