I am a freelance writer living in Manly. I enjoy writing reviews for Weekend Notes. I enjoy the outdoors and anything to do with the water. My interests are travel, Live Theatre,The Ballet and Restaurants that serve delicious innovative food.

In North Sydney's thriving business centre there are many lunch time eateries; from the simple sandwich bar to a variety of cafes and restaurants.

Something Between Bread is one of the finest situated right in the middle of Tower Square, located in Miller St.

Catering mainly to a corporate clientele reflecting the many advertising and Financial business firms in the area.

A family business run by father and son team, Bill and Anton, for over ten years.

Something Between Bread has many freshly made salads on display, including chicken oriental, salad niçoise, caesar salad with or without chicken.

You can create your own salads from a mixture of fresh ingredients which are tossed in front of you. The salads are vegan friendly, with many salads and dressings gluten and lactose free.

There is a large selection of breads for the sandwich of your choice or create your own.

The fillings are generous, like the salads, and the cost economical. An average sandwich will cost around six dollars. A small salad costs $8, a large $9 50, which is huge! So go with an appetite.

I have been having lunch midweek at Something Between Bread for many years. The owners and staff always make me welcome with friendly service and a smile. Regulars are recognised.

There is usually a line of people waiting to be served. It is well worth the short wait as the food is excellent. Also in winter, you can add the soup of the day to your lunch for a economical $3 or add a freshly made chicken schnitzel to make a meal of it.

There is also the choice of takeaway or catering for business events.

You can enjoy your lunch sitting outdoors in the large attractive courtyard at Tower Square at tables allocated to Something Between Bread.

This cafe is well worth the visit, so keep it in mind next time you are in the area at lunch time. It offers nutritious food; each mouthful is filled with flavour that tempts your taste buds. Put it on your to do list
